Guiding parents toward connection, balance, and resilience

Why Parenting Support?

Parenting can be both rewarding and challenging. Every child is unique, and there isn’t one “right” way to parent. At times, parents may feel unsure, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that don’t seem to be working. Parents can benefit from processing and healing from their own childhood in order to parent their own children differently.  Parenting support provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore challenges, learn new strategies, and feel more confident.

My Approach

I believe parents are doing the best they can with the tools they have. My role is to help you build on your strengths, offer new perspectives, and provide practical tools to support both you and your child.

Drawing from the ideas of Virginia Satir, I focus on fostering open communication, strengthening self-worth for everyone in the family, and creating healthier family dynamics. Sessions may include:

  • Exploring parenting styles and strategies that fit your child’s unique needs
  • Learning tools to respond to challenging behaviors with confidence
  • Building stronger, more connected relationships with your child
  • Managing stress and setting healthy boundaries as a parent
  • Increasing your own sense of confidence, self-esteem and well-being.

When Parenting Support Can Help

Parenting support can be especially helpful when you are:

  • Unsure how to handle your child’s big emotions or behaviors
  • Navigating parenting through divorce, separation, or family changes
  • Feeling stuck in power struggles or repeated conflicts
  • Wanting to strengthen your relationship with your child or teen
  • Seeking more tools to balance structure, limits, and warmth
  • Desiring to parent with more confidence and less stress

Why Parenting Support Matters

When parents feel supported and confident, the whole family benefits. Parenting support not only helps you gain tools for today’s challenges, but also strengthens your ability to guide your child with empathy, consistency, and clarity.

A Partnership in Growth
Parenting support is not about judgment or telling you what you’re doing “wrong.” It’s about working together to discover what works best for you, your child, and your family. Every family is unique, and I adapt my approach to meet your specific goals and needs.

Taking the Next Step

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply want new strategies to strengthen your parenting, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Parenting support can give you the tools, encouragement, and perspective you need to guide your child with greater ease and confidence.

FAQs

Is parenting support the same as family therapy?

Not quite. Parenting support focuses specifically on you as the caregiver and helping you gain tools, confidence, and strategies to guide your child effectively. Family therapy involves the whole family system working together in sessions.
